The event needs a lot more racer participation to be successful. Maybe even have the starting line dredged to 6-8 ft to make participants feel a little bit more comfortable.

Depth not a problem there. There's plenty of water on the course

The big thing is advertising the race. Last year we didn't advertise until 3 weeks before the event since we weren't sure we could secure all the needed permits. Not a problem this year so we are advertising the event now and already have multiple out of town shootout participants on board. We are pushing for more participants and I'm sure there will be lots of spectators. Good times....

I have a feeling an outboard won't be enough to take the top gun award this year....
