    Yes these small ear Choppers dont have the recessed hub like most and with weed cutters still on need the flat washer. BUT you can get away with the tapered washer with the lip but only if your shaft is long enough for the nylock to bite enough threads. The other end of these hubs protrude also so too thick of washer makes the shaft to short to properly get enough bite on the nut. So yes exactly like ya said but not everyone knows all the types. i had a prop last summer that took a real odd ball washer that i never used before or had. It took some digging to find one. None of my flat ones worked and none of the reg ones. It required whats called a continuity washer 12-31211Q03 Its the only way i had enough room for the nut to fit. This odd duck!!

    is it a small inland lake? our lake saint clair is rough most of time! i have to go out early morning if I want to fly, otherwise I tow it to smaller lakes. cant belive you have the lake to yourself! yes would be nice to have few other boats to run with!
