Need info on lifting eye for 4 stroke 150 carb motor- non Verado
I am picking up a brand new 150 four stroke Merc tomorrow - not a Verado -just the 3.0lt 4 stroke- I am being told the old screw in flywheel lifting eye WILL NOT work.
What do I need? I can make a lift eye - just need some info- I think it may be like a steering wheel puller - old school 3 bolt triangle pattern-
Plan to install Sunday so would like to get a jump on lifter

Believe it is the one with 3 bolts like a verado uses.....

That is what I thought- Do you know what the thread on the bolts going into the flywheel is?
