    ...Cresent? Cresent was a brand of race only engines & gearcases for smaller class race outboards. Dick O'Dea marketed/sold/raced them back in the day.

    Yeah Gator, it could be a Walter Peterson gearcase, that he took over from Hubbell and improved.

    Its a Peterson, but the Peterson is nothing like the Hubbell. Jim Parker took over the Hubbell and improved it. They are completely different.

    No, Crescent was a full line of outboards from about 4 hp to 70hp. I guess you only know of the CSSH 30ci/500cc triple race motor.
