Are most V6 stators the same?
This stator is on my 1984 2.4 chrome bore oval port Mod Vp, seems to look original to me, but then again thats why i am here.
So would this be the same typical stator you can find on most V6's in case i need to replace it. I have no idea what the numbers mean, I know what a stator is but I don't know whats going on internally.
So as you can see I have some wires that appear to have been resting on the bottom of the mold when the plastic was poured. Should that be a concern, its been 33yrs if its original. I see the A6 is where you would think it rubbed so clearly it never rubbed. Am I losing any magnetism or anything critical because of this flaw?
Here is a shot of the side of the stator, seems good to me, clean and rust free. Oh and if you know what those crazy stampings on my motor and welch plug are, please feel free to share with me.
If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.
