(This a kid 50's me, Chitown burbs posted friends FB..didn't bring the boats up as most land lubbers)
Ya know I learned how drive at Kiddyland in Lyons. We went around the neighbor hood with our "Red Flyer wagons", to collect soda bottles to return at that then small store East Pine ave, between Riverside Drug store, and the Gas station, across the water tower Riverside. So we would turn them into cash, buy some candy and walk to "THEM BUMPER CARS"! Had enough to get a roll 10 tickets, But I STILL have "one more build in me" Did the bumper cars, the mini bikes, go karts, the real stuff up to a HD dragbike. Now going back as have scooters/minis as the ones I'll NEVER sell, just sold go kart.(ATV added now).
BUT! On the prowl for a orig whip antenna bumper car! Toss a gas engine in it, and REALLY amaze neighbors with a new. "Honey, come here..ya gotta see what the hell hes up to now"
