Looking for mom&pop place to stay in fla. keys
As the title says, I will be bringing the boat so need the place to have a boat ramp and dock. Also will have wife, so clean is a must but doesn't need to be fancy. Would like to spend my money with the locals and not the big chain hotels. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Try tripadvisor.com . The wife and I went down about 6 months ago and this site was pretty helpful. Which key are you headed too?

we've stayed at this place, the couple hundred queen palms with hammocks and pristinely clean rooms with kitchenetts are a step back to the 50's with individual bungalos and sunset views to register in your memory banks for life. boat ramp is for trailer width's of that era, but up or down the road you can find a place to put in not to far away and beach it overnight, very calm water so no worries. no restaurant, but you can cook in the room or BBQ on outdoor grills. last of the original "Mom and POP" places there, very peaceful, no noise.

hit the photo gallery, you can be to the sandbar at islamarada in minutes, just check the charts because just south is a cut you need to be in the middle of, not hard to figure out.Last edited by mr fun; 02-23-2017 at 09:31 PM.

https://bayviewinn.com/ This place is on Conch Key. Has ramp and place to tie bock directly behind your rental. They also have some older but clean RV trailers for rent. Owners are really nice and place is not the Hyatt but clean and reasonable. Rented a place for my daughter to do her internship at Dolphin Research Center a few years ago. Close to Duck Key and Marathon. Good area with plenty to do. Just south of Islamarada.

If You Want To Stay In The Upper/Middle Keys, I Would Recommend The Kon-Tiki! Good Ramp, Dock, Clean Rooms Rent Anything From A Regular Motel Room To A 2-Bedroom House. Reasonable... Not Cheep!... Pricing And Best Of All Your Stuff Won't Get Stolen! Let Me Know If You Need A PH##. I've Been Staying There 18-years Now. Go As Often As I Can! 2nd. Place Would Be La-Siesta. Bout The Same As Kon-Tiki.

Where ever you end up, be sure to check the ramp and depth of the water around the docks, etc. Have been to a few places that get skinny at low tide....

How about a RV spot around Key West. Last time I was there we stayed at Blue Water Key RV Resort. It was very nice but about 150.00 per night now.
