opinions, experience with spectra SCS 24?

Anyone have any real world experience with this boat? Considering having one built or buying a late model one. Power will be a 300x. Fit, finish, etc looks excellent. Did not get to drive it though

Message Ted (2Fast2Pass) He's got a newer one that he's had for a few years now with a 250 Verado. Really nice boat with a good ride. His runs right at 60 with the Verado. There's another one down here with a 300X that the owner bought brand new from Jay (believe it's an early 2000's boat) and has about 60-70 hours on it and looks like it just came out of the mold. Absolutely gorgeous. His runs into the 70's, but no T-top.

jay has a set of 24 molds, and I also know who has the original molds up in SC. When I was up there we build one 24 with a 300 verado. With a large T-top it ran 69.7 mph, and that was with the big verado lower unit. I think regardless of who builds you a boat, they will both be good quality. If you do a quick google search for True Keel custom boats, you will find the facebook link with pictures of the boat that was built

ID:	368108Had one for the past 5yrs. Great boat. Really enjoy ours! Runs 64mph and gets around 4mpg's @ 40mph. Good lay out, plenty of storage room, dry ride! Wouldn't consider it a great rough water boat, but if its too rough for it then its probably not a good day anyway! Happy to answer any questions or concerns.

Guys, Thanks for all the leads and responses. I looked at the used one when I was in Florida.

I have a 2006 which I have owned since 2011. It has been a great boat. The fit and finish is very good. All the wiring is tinned wire with heat shrinked connectors. The hatches are all through bolted with SS bolts and nyloc nuts. The latches / handles / seat hinges/ fuel fills, etc. are all quality SS. None of the plastic stuff found on many boats. Mine is rigged with a 250XS and a radar arch with integrated bimini. Best I have seen is about 60 mph. At about 3800 RPM it will run 30-32 mph and get 4.0 MPG. It has a good amount of deadrise and handles the chop pretty well. I would strongly suggest having trim tabs because if it gets rough you will need them to keep your planning speed down. I like the fully painted hull sides. They still shine like new after 11 years. They don't get dull and chalky like fiberglass does.

The beam is a bit narrower than many 24' boats would be my only complaint.
