need new stainlees prop for my SS 190
I would like to step-up to a stainless steel prop this year. 2011 four-winns ss 190 with a 225 hp volvo/gm v-6 4.3. Now using the stock cast volvo prop. 14.2x21 . What might I get from a new stainless? Boat speedo shows 51 mph at 5000 rpm with stock prop. I think rpm is a little high. Which prop ? THANKS !

We have a bunch of customers that run Mercury High Fives on similar boats and like them. Merc dealer should have demo props to try, take a 21 and a 23 see whats best.

Looking for a little more speed. I thought 4 and 5 blade props were better at pulling and getting on plane. Now running a Volvo cast prop which works much better than a cast Merc replacement prop I bought for a spare. Merc prop down about 4 to 5 mph and not as quick getting the boat up on plane. Bone stock motor now at the top of rpm with stock cast prop. Pro bass fisher buddy say's I should step up to a 3 blade stanless for better performance. Less flex, just better.
