Damn right mine had same! But one time took 3 girls, one brother from Ill to Daytona for spring break (I was already out service then, but hate to miss a party as missed many Nam..(Woodstock)!) Met another friend there, and we picked up couple girls. Riding around hitting the hot spots bands drinking wine. Pretty well wasted when back no tell, motel, and them in the back getting out? She knocked over 1/2 full, 1/2 gallon wine bottle of "Fruitie" (matched the paint ride.."Burgundy". So ride ends up parked locked up 3 days sitting in the sun! Never did get the smell out! If I would have got pulled over and cop smells alcohol, and "you been drinking"? "Nope its the car"!Back home a friend bought a new 74 Monte Carlo, took it a ride and that LONG hood, 1/2 size steering wheel? I NEED THIS! I bought as new one..(just in time the gas crisis/Oil embargo) but driving it in (67) a trade all windows down air out. He screwed me new, I screwed him too....but wish BOTH still had, but I take the mems, as "NO DAMN ROOM anyway!" now...(did ya ever realize when the downsize, IT ALWAYS GET WORSE!)

Something about a vette says.."USE IT". Brother (10 years older me) had the first year 53, then a 75. I had a 77 and last a 80. Cops loved me! Sold as more fun and legal in boats! And if ya wanna really go "faster"? World spins some 67,000 MPH USA. West to East. So don't go "Against the wind"...East to West...........(put ya back fast where ya started)!

I don't remember the first time...Dad had a '69 Coronet with a 440 when I was a kid. I remember hearing CB chatter one night on a long trip from TX to NJ that my mom was running 120 in our Caprice (dad's company car, dad was asleep!). The first time I remember seeing it on the speedo was when I was probably 14 or 15. My cousin bought a new Mercedes and took me for a ride...

Those 440 are strong. Don't think you'd get around the 455 Olds all stretched out but it's fun thinking about it!

1979 145mph on my new 1980 Ninja ZX600 coming home from a party in the summer at 6am. i had a speed wobble and my heart went in my throat!! haha Have been that speed pretty much ever week for the past 8 years with my 300 SRT8 when I leave the house on a long straight when no one is coming the other in case its a cop. The other day a truck came up on me fast heading home so i nailed it up to 130 mph to get him out of my mirror. He followed me all the way into my drive way!! i was ready for a fight and it was a cop!! haha i super apologized he just laughed and said dont worry im heading home im not giving you a ticket. Thank got he could have took my licence! He said that was fun!! haha I said I thought you were just a truck trying to catch me because I took off so fast and you were mad at me for some reason. haha Great guy we BS,ed for about a half hour in the driveway. My wife was in the house wondering what the hell was going on.
