Setting hi speed timing 2.4 litre 220 laser motor
Having problems with the hi speed.Batteries fully charged idle cranking ecu diconnected, fuel pump power disconnected, spark plugs removed and all 6 cylinder spark plug leads grounded. I get 8 degrees. When I check full throttle the timing light is not steady blinking. the timing appears to be jumping around from 19 degrees to 26 degrees. I can not get a good reading. Problem on water will not get up on plane. Appears to run great on hose. All six plugs are firing and three coil packs firing.
Thanks

Possibly a bad high side winding in stator. Cdi has the pinpoint test online on how to test.

I'll check that out Dave, I don't remember if I had the idle stabilizer disconnected, trigger was fine and not binding. I'll check it again this weekend and let you know guy. Thanks.
