There are one of each the enclosed four seater (with air conditioning) so its not race boat weight is on the edge and there is an open cockpit that is only 3 or so off. I think you should be talking to Caldwell and grab a set of those 600s to spin a pair of 35s at 8k. That would lay down the law for outboards.

122/124 for DW 32's is not close to 130mph? Other than Darren's boat I have yet to see real video data underway with GPS/RPM etc of any of these 120+mph DW's. The blue one down here ran 119mph with JT. I agree they are fast but 130mph is a huge number for 400r's IMO. A 28 could do it.
Tyson posted the video of the 318 skater they way it should be. Lot's of talk of big numbers but short on actual facts.
I sure hope all these fast boats other than Skaters show up at LOTO's to put this to bed once and for all!!!! LOL.
There were NO 400r boats at the shoot out this year? Not knocking the motors just basing things on what i have experienced first hand.

Congrats on your Repower Pablo that boat is hauling the mail. Tony just hit 129 with a Mach 26 that is a screaming number.
I am betting you hit the 130MPH mark first just be careful and keep us posted.
No putting to bed anything...LOTO this year is going to 3/4 mile course for safety reasons. So the numbers need to come from other Shootout's who still keep the 1 mile format.

I have run in many classes at LOTO. I can tell you it is the last quarter mile where the boat makes the numbers. In a 3/4 mile distance it is really hard to post up monster numbers
Hi Pablo:
I hit 115MPH in a mile at LOTO and cruise easily at 105MPH that is plenty fast enough for me.
I can safely say I would not repower to 400R motors anytime soon. They are too heavy and the weight on the transom will completely change the attitude of the boat. Currently my boat fly's level on exit and reentry so it is balanced perfectly [CG wise]. I would not want to fly my boat with 1,400++lbs on the transom as it would not handle right. It is one thing on a smooth lake or river a whole different story on busy lakes and oceans. Plus I still have two more years of warranty.
Now if I started the build with the 400R motors we would have made some major alteration from the start.
These 400R motors with the new CNC props and the bottoms chamfered wherein they cut a nickel sized trough in the bottom of the hull in order to raise the engine higher without losing water pressure. It makes a HUGE difference and one reason these boats are now hitting monster numbers. Not to mention how much lift these 400R motors are providing from torque.
I assume on the Nordic hull your spinning in with some toe in?Last edited by KAP; 03-03-2017 at 07:33 PM.
