I got a motor no mid LOL.
We could gather our parts and have a running boat LOL!!
all the stuff for my mid should be finished sometime next week I hope. Have some more wiring and rigging to do. I'm way behind schedule. I had wanted to have it ready for winter Nats but that obviously didn't happen. Just hope I get somekind of seat time and testing before catahoula.
Plan is when I first get it together to put a 24 or a 26 on it and just go ride for two days straight to get comfortable in the boat then test. A couple hundred miles on the river should get me used to an ally again.

What kind of 2.4 are you creating? I like the 2.4's a lot. I've got a pretty hot mod vp and a nice oval port black block for parts. If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.

So that would be a chrome bore oval port?
What if the exhaust port was at 1.590?
Is there a pdf somewhere that i can see what you can and cant do to an engine? If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.

You can download the full rules from pdf on their site.
http://www.deepsouthracing.net
scroll down and click the "rules" tab , these are still the 2016 rules but for a SS 2.4 only change for 2017 is head CC is changing.

I always ran a carter fixed 8gph marine pump and a cheap Mr. gasket adjustable regulator, set at 5.5 lbs.ran great on bridgeports and 200's.

You're reading my mind! When I read the original post I was thinking he should talk to Baker.
BTW 90 5.0....David Baker knows how to get max hp out of a 2.4. If you can get him to help you....listen to whatever he says cause he's pretty much the man with 2.4 fishin motors! He's a super nice guy so I can't imagine him not helping ya.
