2006 Pro XS 225

2006 Pro XS 225 20 inch shaft. It recently came off a bass boat and has never seen salt water and it shows! Motor was checked out by a reputable shop before being installed on my flats boat and was completely serviced while being rigged (receipts included). That being said on its maiden voyage out to test props it was not running correctly above 3k rpms so I took it back to the shop to be diagnosed and it turns out that 1 cylinder (#2 cyl) has low compression. No idea how it passed the shops inspection and then lost compression in a matter of 20 minutes but it is what it is. Cylinder wall does look scored from what I can see but the piston does still move up and down fine. Currently have someone interested in purchasing for cash but would prefer to trade for or toward a running Merc 175-225 hp in good shape. I m open to anything from a regular old merc to a pro max or anything in between. Must be a 20 inch shaft. Located in Tampa FL. Sorry not sure why some of the pictures are sideways.

Hey Classic Seacraft sorry for the delay. I do still have the motor just been extremely busy at work to do anything with it. Not sure when I would have time to get over to the east coast as I already have a gentlemen over that way that would like to trade.
