I ran my carbed bridgeports with a carter marine fixed 8 psi pump, and a mr. gasket( set at 5.5 psi) on an adjustable regulator, and that was the happiest setup for them. wh46 carbs with slosh tubes

As for value, it all depends. yours don't have aluminum flywheels, kinda odd. But I just bought the same motor for $1200 with an aluminum flywheel. But some people are selling cheaper and some are trying to get 4k each. I would guess the motor on the left is a real carbureted bridgeport and the one with the painted intake was originally an injected one converted over to carbs.
one little thing i noticed,my earliest bport's i ever remember, with chrrome bores, before nic, both had an olive green flywheel, not red,if they weren't the offshore with aluminum

I have a red 40 amp 2.4 flywheel on a 2.4 200 fishing motor that came on it on one boat and my other 2.4 200 has the green 16 amp. Think it came on a BP originally but don't remember.

I also have one of the lightweight "small" aluminum flywheels 16amp but don't remember what it came on. It the one that's like 1/8" smaller diameter than a normal one.

So because I love to learn. Are we actually talking greenish paint, clearly the red is paint. Or are we actually talking it appears greenish probably because its natural aluminum and it was coated to help stop the corrosion on aluminum. Like the naked blocks? Or are we talking the steel plate on top with natural aluminum edges?
I'm gonna check YouTube to see if I can figure out what Green actually means.
If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.

Uh, its not self explanatory to me. LOL
I never seen a drab green flywheel, like the entire thing or just the top with aluminum sides. both of my 16 amps are raw aluminum with a black top and I have one painted all black I think steel flywheel and I wouldn't know if its a 40 or 16 amp unless someone explained what to look for to me.
If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.

no it is steel, with olive green paint, and more like a primer, than actual paint

tlwjkw,I really have no idea why they were green ? and it isn't light weight,it is steel, maybe the green indicated 9 amp instead of 16 ? dunno,I think you had to order the offshore pkg.,to get the aluminum flywheel.

never bought or worked ona "box stock" hi po that didn't come with tha lite weight.............. even tha carb "bass" bridge port....... for whatever thats worth.
