TUNNELS Take-over of the Fiberglass thread....
Anyone else feel the same ?
Like this section of the forum belongs to him now... As in if anyone does fiberglass work, and it's not done his way... it's wrong.

Some people just come across like that. I may be guilty of it myself at times. It is a public forum, so he can say what he wants. But we do have an ignore posts option if you do not want to read his posts.

Guess you guys can say and believe what you want. He has put forth a lot of time and effort to be a great help to me. While I haven't done everything as he suggested, everything deserved consideration. Just sayin.

I agree much that is shared here is valuable... I also believe the hinderance and reluctance of others to share might be a correlation

Making people think more about what they are doing or trying to do is your choice !
I guess I been and seen to many expensive stuff ups in my time specially from supposed professional experts with degrees in composite engineering and know it alls that think they are gods in the industry .
There more than one way of doing any job and I try to make life easy and logical for back yard weekend guys !! Its where I came from and learned and made lots of mistakes along the way but passing on knowledge is what its all about !Oh sure have read a few books in the beginning but the most valuable lessons learned came for old guys that had been inn the industry a life time I worked with over the years in a few different countries! .
Tahitians and Asians are the most innovative and clever people I have ever come across in my travels and a couple of English laminators I had the privilege to have worked with in a couple of places !
There is no single right way there's just lots of different ways, they all work in varying degrees ,some are good some are bad !! so I try to pass on the good ways I have learned to you!!
Like some one has said already if you don't like what I write don't read!!
Have a nice day !Last edited by tunnels; 02-02-2017 at 05:43 PM.
Messing round with boats is fun !! the learning never stops ,even after more than 30 years there's always something new happening somewhere ! BUT somethings never change and some problems never go away and just keep reoccurring !!so moved into Composite Forensics , Now that something completely new !!

He is passionate about his craft, or career. Sometimes that comes off as controlling when offering help. jmo.
He was kind enough to help me with PM's and emails with his thoughts on how I could make repairs on my project. I have no complaints here.

The make of the boat is of no concern, it's the process gone through to make it what you want it to be.
Maybe take a little time and read his thread and all he went through to get it to what a beautiful boat it now is.
Home made tunnel is a trooper, and did a great job on a boat he loves.
