2015 250 xs reman block question

Are the rubber plugs in-between the cylinders on the 3 liter suppose to be in the block are maybe they left them out by mistake ? I have #2 melted down with only 9 hrs on it ? 250 xs 2015 reman powerhead

No I had to look again that's not them just wandering if it caused it to get hot I have never seen #2 go bad looks like without the plugs it might have trouble cooling the top cylinder..

    Oh dear.
if the rubber is missing then its what has happened,
This is why there should be cast in walls instead of daft rubbers that can shift (or be forgotten to be put in).
going to be hard to prove the rubbers were not in there, is the other side the same ?

I was thinking the very same,
as soon as you see re=manufactured makes you start to wonder how many have gone bad and why

Did anyone check the injectors after the first meltdown?. If the head for that side had to be replaced somehow the injectors were moved around and 2 got what 6 had previously. I'd send the air and fuels out for evaluation. Be sure to mark what cyls they all came from.
