Mt. Dora CRA Fun Run 2-4-2017
On February 4th, the first Saturday of the month, our local CRA group will be launching our boats at the Gilbert Park ramp in Mount Dora for our next Monthly Fun Run & Gathering. This will be a full day on the flat, fresh water of the beautiful Harris Chain of Lakes, including a grand lunch social. Even without a boat, please join us for lunch, lots of banter and a regatta update !!!

If weather is good I'll be there.
Engine was acting funny at Alva yesterday.
If I have no engine issues I'm in.
Always a fun run. I run it backwards. Put in at big/little lake Harris ramp.

Weather was great, Jim took the group on an excellent tour (I had never been on that chain). Very nice body of water with a nice balance of idle area through the canals and rivers with lots of open lake running. He does it the first Saturday of every month. I just realized that we don't get back from Mexico until Saturday the 4th so won't make the next one but it could grow into a really fun consistent event. Jim says it varies with turnout but he has had around 30 boats run in the past.
