2.4 Bridgeport piston ring numbers
Would I be correct in saying that 2.4 Bridgeport piston ring part number is 39-44395A12
This is a nikasil block running Mahle Pistons.
Is this this the same part number as a Chrome bore/oval port 2.4?

I might have some NOS rings I think, I'll see if I can find them and check the part no.

The rings I have are 39-816802A12, I believe they are for Nik bores but can't be 100 percent sure

Can anybody give me a definitive answer. Im concerned about using the wrong rings and buggering the bores.
I have read use hard on soft and soft on hard, Soft Iron rings on hard chrome bores and hard chrome rings on soft nikasil/steel bores?

Iron rings in nik and chrome, chrome rings in steel bores.

just make sure the rings you use on nik are gold in color. ask the person selling them if they are gold, for nik iron for chrome or chrome for steel.
this isnt rocket scientology.
good luck.

they used to use chrome rings on nikasil bores (still do) but it is hard on the nik.. all the Tin (titanium nitride ) rings are chrome rings with TiN coating so again DO NOT USE AN IRON RING IN A NIKASIL BORE.. it will destroy your block. you could use chrome rings but would more than likely destroy your block..Last edited by BoomerMuskoka; 05-07-2017 at 11:41 AM.
