my Buddy in my avatar is "Tater". in a blinding rainstorm that you could not see 50 yds I turned the corner going to our terminal I'm looking, shifting, looking and I see something sitting in the middle if the road, wipers go back and forth a few whacks I tell myself, that's a dog! sitting there with a potato chip bag over his head that he had found in the ditch next to the road trying to get crums out of was blinded, I jumped out and scooped him up, snatched the bag off his head and suddenly his tail started smacking me on the bac k, guess at that point I was done. pulled into the terminal, got situated, and said to myself, lets see what have I gotten myself into. rain slowed down, reached in and pull him out and not being as big as a football I realized he had more fleas and mange on him than hair. put him in the tub to wash him off, turned the water muddy. spent over 300 to get him straightened out. got him into the household and introduced to the backyard, the gate door was open, he walks out the gate, stops, looks around, and turns around and comes back into the backyard, said he'd had enough of the street. he was with us for 13 yrs, said to be Chow Lab Pit mix, had a blue tongue. most mellow dog I've ever known. just not up to going through that again, hurt as much as a family member. God Bless You All, fun out
most overnite successes usually take at least 10 years

Not the best pic of my fishing partner, but my personal favorite. Taken at my pond out front of the house. Sebastian LOVES to go fishing, & knows what's happening! Fish with bait & a bobber, he will sit & watch that bobber, when it goes under he jumps up ready for the fish. Fish with a lure, he waits for the hook set, & gets ready again. Ready for what??? The instant the fish breaks the surface, he's in the water after it - whether from shore or boat - he will be in after it. Reel the fish in, unhook it & let him sniff it, toss it back in - he's in after it. He will even go under to try to catch it, & has brought a few back! Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought a Pomeranian would be a water dog, but my last one would swim after sticks & bring them back. Sebastian's a rescue dog, but who rescued who..........
Tried turning this pic every way from Sunday, but this is the only way it uploadsLast edited by moparbarn; 01-23-2017 at 11:15 PM.

The photo thing is a bitch on here. You need to open the photo on your computer. I use a Mac. Go to tools and adjust the size. whatever you see for a size lets say 23 wide, change it to 50 wide and save. At least double what it says or even more. Then it will upload the right direction. Then after you upload it on here before you hit save. double click the photo and select the Large button. Your not alone.
If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.

What a great thread...we love doggies as well.
Yes Mr. Fun, it sure does hurt when they die, but another one will bring as much joy. The hurt fades as the new one steals your heart all over again. Each one will have a spot in your heart and memories.
Lost some real good doggie friends over the years as well, but will always have one.
Lost a Border Collie we had for 15 years, and heart broken we said no more pets..............6 months later we brought home a new puppy...A White American Shepherd
She has become my new buddy in the 2 years we have had her. My workshop companion...LOVES to chase anything you throw..Frisbee, ball, anything!
We live on top of a hill, and she likes to watch over the pasture below.

I found this one in Jasper, TN on the way to the race course at 6:30am a little over 5 years ago. My race boat never made it to the water that weekend but it was perhaps the best race I've ever been to because I found her. We think she's a Jackhuahua. Don't laugh....people actually breed chihuahuas and jack russells on purpose. She looks a good bit like your's imo. She's 12 lbs of terror.
