Whats a good 4 blade on a STV Euro
Thinking of picking up a 4 blade for the Euro. It has a 225 Sport XS with a Sportmaster Lower 1:62 gears. Best prop is a 32p lightning ET that I will never part with... just thinking of something else that when I have 4-5 in the boat will plane easier and run in the 80's. I tried a Drag4 and wasn't impressed with the handling so that design is out. I was thinking about a pro ET where the lightning ET works so well but they are no longer in production so that leaves a RE-4, Pro Max, 4 blade cleaver, BBlades blaster or ?????
Thoughts?

I run a pro-et on my stv for a river prop all the time and it works great. You can also have the Drag 4 worked and they end up being a good all around wheel. Call Tillman or Mike at Frank and Jimmies and let them know what its doing. A lot of the blasters have tossed blades (never on me but I have witnessed several).

While I am no where even close to the class of boat as your STV I was advised to get a 4 Blade for my 150 Optimax and my little 16 foot boat.....End goal is get up to a 23-25P Michigan Wheel Ballistic....I started with a 20P 4 blade and it made a huge difference in the attitude of the boat. Switched to a 22P and didn't get a lot of time to play as the water was so low. I have a 23P $ Blade Ballistic waiting to try out this summer.

22P Apollo
23P Ballistic.
MI Wheel might not be the greatest High Dollar prop but they are affordable.

I have a 30P RE3 as my 2nd choice or back up prop but out of the hole with a few passengers it still takes a while to plane off. I am just thinking for the application I am looking for I might do better with a through hub vs. a over the hub or perhaps a through hub with the PVS plugs. I did try a blaster on the BBlades trial program back when they were first introduced and I was still learning how to drive the boat and it was a little challenging. Then I tried the 32 ET and the 65-80 MPH porpoising was greatly reduced so I kept the ET. Knowing what I know now, the blaster may have performed better with a little more trim and driver experience.
Still looking for suggestions & thoughts.

I run a 26 Mazco RE 4 on my Vking YT at times. It accelerates and planes effortlessly and runs 89 regardless of number of people or weight in the boat. I also picked up a Mazco 30 4 blade through hub but haven't had a chance to try it yet. I have no exhaust going through the lower unit.
