Should I place this in a different area of forum? I have looked up parts but cannot figure out if mercury makes fittings to fit rigging hose on my Pro Max.

No, I think this is the correct forum.
Try looking at this page http://www.screamandfly.com/showthre...-rigging-hoses
See if these are what your looking for. I think the part number you have is for a standard fish motor cowl, not the Promax cowl.

And inside the holes there brass bolts that pass thru the pan with nylok nuts,i had to cut the bolts shorter, cause they will hit the hyd. Seastar cyl. And crack the pan when fully turned.

I can't say for sure, but it looks very similar to my 96 PM 225 pan. They look round in the picture, are they? I want to say my pan holes are round,
Tux..you mean pre alien cowl as early?
If so, what options are there for the round hole pans?
I haven't bought these for mine yet, as my project is not that far along. I had/have those items in my saved page on eBay.

Yes they are round, pretty sure you could whip those up with some thick walled black pvc drain tubing. I think i have a couple old 200 promax cowls in storage that have oval openings, but they arent as big a cutout as an alien.

someone on here builds these but don't remember who?.. really work well... but don't know if they may be to big for your pan?...

James, yes pre alien.
The round hole pans came on the early 90's 2.5 like 245/260 motors. The easy way to tell is from a front or side profile picture of the pan. It will have a drop of about 1" in the front/face area.
Not sure the PM's came with them from Mercury but anything is possible especially in a 95 PM, I just have never seen them as an OEM from Mercury.
What I have seen and what others have done many times which is not a problem the top cowl would never know the difference is use the 245/260 pan on the PM's
Tommy, that was John "Lightspeed" on here but not sure he is still making them. I would check with him first. Very nice piece he was making with a great price for the set.
