I guess it's why DSRA, ODBA are going... gone to 800 ft.
Not a trick question. I see guys stretch it out on the big end every time we get together.

I guess what got me thinking about was the two boats that were going to attempt the world record.

How about our bigger twin engine members? Anyone?

Monty's boat is plenty capable of running in the 130's, maybe more. Not sure he has any desire to do it but the potential is there.

    How fast???

We routinely run over 130 in our F1 boats, I've logged a 137mph top speed on GSP in our Seebold... I think Chris Fairchild is breaking 140mph in his DAC... I've seen 127mph in my open boat, it will go faster, but things go bad real fast at those speeds, that was fast enough ... Paul Kryskow is building a killer 2.5, on 12" mid, with a Speedmaster on one of my (HNR) hulls now... that thing will be fast!!! Hats off to Mr. Dixon... 151 in that open boat is just insane!

His boat is half again as big as yours Chris, so with another half in speed increase I think you guys have about the same pucker factor going on!!!--your both crazy.....

Watching that video and seeing Mike so loose before it takes a set makes me nervous. Then Warren comes by "trimmed like Parker used to and it makes me want to turn away from the screen" It sure is a rush when we are behind the wheel but I am not ready to check out yet...

Does an outboard rudder count? I've been 165 in 1,000'. All kidding aside, a big congrats to all you guys that have run 130+ in an open cockpit tunnelboat under 20' - that's faster than I've ever wanted to go in that type boat.

I'm sure Dave makes more than enough power to eclipse the record. He was always fun to talk to early friday and Saturday at Jasper.
