This whole beat your buddy program is gonna get expensive and usually creates toys that loose their daily driver appeal and or ability. Word on the street is a couple of guys in this ring have been shopping and bought some serious horsepower... I have been down this road many time$ with bikes and snowmobiles-limit yourself to where its not a purpose built rig that you can't enjoy out on a river run and ultimately can't sell to anybody other then a racer. I must admit that its nice to not feel the need to be part of it "I must be getting old". I definitely like watching from the side lines though. Please think about people other then yourselves when you are out running "we all have people that will be devastated if we get killed (family, friends, employees etc.)-try not to be too selfish, as in have other boats around and utilize all of the personal safety equipment available"-these are typically not swim away speeds... Other then that I am waiting for the 140 passes that are soon to come as I stay over in the slow lane.

Me and you both Joe! The only time I want to be running over 130 any more is in full safety gear and with safety boats/crew on the water. My cowboy days of routinely running 140-150+ with no safety gear/safety boat AND having passengers with me are over. I can sit here and write a list of over 40 people that have lost their lives "pleasure boating" in 130+ mph rigs in the last 15 years. I don't want to be one of them.

Heck, just drag everything up here to Ontario in July. Plenty of space to run without bothering anyone. Only thing is $5/6 gallon for 94 fuel but your $ will help.

So I did the math and speed per foot Im in the lead

Btw back to the discussion about weight. My boat is heavier than an STV and Im 6'4" 250 pounds and it has definitely helped me stay dry. Heavy and small tunnel (less lift) When I try some new setup Ill slide my seat all the way forward and go from there. It makes a big difference in my boat.
13' Biel tunnel AKA "Flight Risk"
    13" Modified Yamaha V4 - 101 mph

    21' Paramount
