    Hi Parker,
I own twin 1963 short shaft 850's in pretty good condition. I intend on fully restoring them and then building a 17 foot timber deep v runabout to clamp them on to. By the look of the pictures provided by you those props look to have too big a pitch for my twins. I'm guessing they are at least 23" ?
I feel a pair of 19" props should do the job, but really I do love the old "race cut" of those blades.

Please let me know the pitch of your props.

    Thanks,
    Guy.

    Thanks.
I don't have to tell you, my twins would never turn those props! Although, they would look really hot as display pieces.
Not too many of those made their way to Australia in the 60's, particularly having real high pitch. Race cut props are proving almost impossible to locate in Australia. I've been searching for years.

But really, the props you have found should be used for what they were designed and made for. I'm quite sure they will be put to very good use in the USA.
I'll keep watching this Thread to see what else you dig up.
Have a safe and Merry Christmas.

    Guy.

Looks like Parker has found some Offshore Props for 1100's and 1250's--circa '67 and '68----

Are these quicksilver hi-performance cupped props. I ran a 28 in pitch in 1968 on the 125hp Mercury 6 cyl engine on a 16ft racing boat it ran around 65mph.I had to drop down to a 26in pitch prop for the distance races to pull a large fuel load. The largest pitch in 1968 that was available to me in the UK was 30in but I never new anyone that had an outfit that could run one I was the only racing driver that raced with a 28in prop everyone else raced with 26in props and some with 24in props.

I bought a 28 or 30 that Howard Pipcorn had. I just hang it on the wall today. Wont keep up with anything modern. They are wall art today.

Parker, the 6 props you have appear to be some of the Merc Hi-Perf props that came out in the late 60s & early
70s that preceded the Hi-Perf stainless props. Most of them that have the pitch marked on them were marked
lower in pitch than they really were.
