    Phoenix 32 XPR Poker Run

    .

This thread will remove the ambiguities from the other thread that I started which mixes up the race model "XR" from this Poker Run model "XPR"

Hull #2 is the Phoenix XPR (Poker Run boat)

After the hull prep is complete, will go to DHD (Doug Harrell Designs) for painting then will be rigged with 400R motors

What are the true dimensions of this boat? I've seen their raceboat called a 30', and this one a 32'. What is the measurement from the back of the transom to the front of the sponsons? And what is the width? I hope they're not including that duckbill hanging off the back in their LOA. Regardless of being very similar to the DW32, the boat has great lines. Any word on the speeds they're seeing with the raceboat?

Rayzor, the 30 model was a remade Skater hull.

Got it, makes sense now. I do wonder still what the true specs are on it. It's great to see that buyers are now getting more choices in the large-size outboard cat market.

The Phoenix 32 XPR was lifted with one strap to determine where the CG (center of Gravity) is located. The guys at SmartMarine couldn't be any happier. The CG location and the hull weight all came in as expected

So theoretically, that is where they feel the best point for CG is? I can see a static CG on a Vee hull but the Cats have all the Aero working on it.

What did the hull end up weighing?

Yes, CG for the bare hull came out where we've anticipated. The XPR hull CG is just an inch aft of the XR. We use this as a baseline to establish a rigging layout so that whether the hull receives 300XS's or 400R's, the equipment balances the CG to where we've found the hull to perform best.

Do the tanks get mounted at the CG point so fuel load doesn't affect the CG balance?
