28' Skater New Motors and Rigging 2016

    1994/2016 28' Skater rigged at TNT 2016

Completely stripped to hull and redone by TNT (under the direction of Ron Muller). Finished March of 2016. Nothing reused. Everything is new. New motors with Nass cowlings. Rear hatch conversion by Boat Customs. SeaDek flooring. All set up and testing done by John Tomlinson and Ron. The only thing not done was paint. Paint is 7/10. Aeromarine windshield.

Killer stereo, underwater lights, and Garmin package.

Boat ran 106mph in the LOTO shootout full of fuel, 160lbs of weight in front (for rough water set up), and 32 Dewalds. Boat will run close to 120 with 34s, and no extra weight.

Have original factory cowlings and all receipts.

I may have an opportunity to move on a bigger OB Skater this spring so I want to be in a position to do so.

$119,999. (Motors, rigging, cowlings, and rear hatch conversion cost more than asking price - build cost was $160,000).

The tanks are good (I had them checked before buying - I'm looking into details of when and where they were done).

    Thumbs up

He is only posting/showing a partial wiring job, you can be sure there is plenty more.
BTW, There are 4 breakers showing in one of the pictures.

    Extremely nice package!......GLWS....

^^^Posted pictures that no one else does of their boat when they are trying to sell it.....the actual rigging. Boats don't come this well rigged from the Skater factory (sorry Pete - you are still my hero).

Nothing on this boat was reused. This is a new boat minus the hull. I actually thought about getting a new hull just to make it the first new 28 in however many years.

$3500 spent on trailer - pulled from TNT to Boat Customs in MI to LOTO with zero issues. It is a steel trailer.

Utility - excellent. Does the job well. Much better than wind screens.

Fit and finish are lacking for what it costs.

The only other option is the $25,000 wrap around conversion like Jim Lee's.

Thank you. I indeed did not cut a single corner. If Johnny or Ron said "I think you should do....." I just said "do it".

If I ever do this again, I will do it the same way. Both excellent to work with and the final product exceeded all expectations.

I talked to Ron yesterday about this and about the 28 Skater.

If you start with a project then there is not a single boat done better than mine - and it cost me a **** ton of money to do it.

If you look for something less expensive, there are nice pieces out there but they are not this one....not even close.

If it doesn't sell I will keep it and enjoy a boat that I built to my expectations. I just have a lot of other things going (like a new race team) and I would like a 30 or 318 if I have another to handle bigger water more comfortably.
