It doesn't seem to make too much difference with this picture; but if you use the "insert image" button, it will put the photo into your post. When you add it as an "attachment" then it shows up as a "thumbnail" that people have to click on in order to see it full size.

last week it worked when I went to manage attachments and could make it small med or large?

clic the little picture frame, select the pic that you want to display, clic upload ... now while everything is hanging in the air ... left double clic your new pic and you should get an image settings pop down, now select what you want and OK it.
