    2.5 tuner options 1993 245's

    have 2 1993 245's i,m redoing the motors this winter ,always thought about the tuner what are options ?

    Those came with pretty good tuners already, I'm not a tuner expert but I think the only real better option is the diamond custom tuner, but you'll need to send them your exhaust adapters to be port matched.

    Just port match the tuner to the adapter, adapter and block.

    don't forget you want match the plate and gaskets as well... that is 5/6 surfaces... Block, gasket 1, plate, gasket two, exhaust plate AND, the transition from the plate to the tuner...

    got plenty of time to get all that done we dont boat for 7 more months around here since april is still winter transition month

    Depending on what plate you have early 1/2 or late 3/4 water tube the later had 2 tuner bolt patterns and came with the later, stronger, thicker mounting flange tuner which held up much better.
    No big deal on performance, maybe a bit more up top (maybe) it is just a stronger tuner.
