    rebuilding 245's

got motors all torn down the ring gap is around 30thou ,piston clearance 25 thou +
the motor's turned over by hand so smooth like there was no drag left ,when I unbolted rod caps you had to catch pistons on there way out , still had enough left to push the boat with 4 adults to 100 imagine what it will be when I get them back in spec ,wow.

What was the cranking PSI and blow down before the tear down?
If it was good it may not change any thing after the rebuild.

did leak down on a few cylinders around 8% i did not do a compression test ,i have run 4 sets of rings thru these bores my ring gaps were 27 to 29 last time i re rung , i had to wait 1 more summer to redo the engines the motors ran ok but had no low end and nothin on top 7200 was max rpm , where as i use to run 8000 before ,even with 26 pitch 7200 was max so i just cruised around for 1 more summer blew away few bass boats along the way ,blocks are going to stealth performance first , then to U.S. Chrome

I hope your gonna have Dave massage the ports and exhaust a bit before they go to US chrome. I loved my twister but its been sitting upside down longer than I would like to think about. Mine put up some big numbers and always wanted to try and drag race it. I hate to even say it I might just put it back on the trailer next year and give someone else a shot at it.
