A 2.4 can be built to make north of 300 hp... it takes a lot of compression, a **** ton of port work and a great deal of fuel curve tuning. Down side they are terrible on fuel, beat the hell out of the center main saddles in the block and front half and are generally a pain in the ass.

I'll probably just keep my 2.4 mod vp for a while. I kinda like it even though its carbed and old school. Cant beat technology. If I am always the last one in line, i might rethink this but for now, i am not the last one in line on the river.

That seems to solve all torque and rpm issues

Cool looking, but absolutely useless. If it worked at all there would be drag motors with 6-71's everywhere you looked.

The problem goes way back to the stone age. Blowers and turbos on two strokes generally won't work because the entire block cavity is put under pressure and it blows out seals and gaskets. Not saying it can't work, just saying it would be quite a challenge. We used to tinker with this crap on sleds back in the 80s for Waldoch Days in July at Lino lakes, mn. I used to hang with John and dave. The owners. Good old days

The behind the liner motors are superior in every way. The real fun is showing up with 2.5 sleeves in a 2.4 block and maintaining an innocent face.

Find you a late 90's 175 2.4 block. They are behind the liner ported and are 2.4 liters from Mercury. We made a lot of money drag racing one back in the day.
