BADASS video! But I'm really surprised the GP hydro team is bragging about 2,000hp and 138mph - our K-boats are faster than that with less hp - and they're FLATBOTTOMS! Lol

I can tell you that the GP hydros leave some big holes. We beat them one race and they got us in the other.

I can only imagine what that big turn fin does to the water in the corners! I crew for Steve Sequeria in the K-24, he says that even the BAD and 6.0 Liter boats churn up the water a lot worse than our flats. Amazing that when Craig or Greg run their little F1 boats that they can get over that snotty water as quick as they do. You Aussies put on the best short course boat racing shows in the world!

6.0 class is way cool, a boat with a cell and a nascar v8
    https://www.facebook.com/Bloomfield-...PAGES_TIMELINE
PS there has been ski racing boats clocked over 130mph with 2 skiers...., not sure if they go around corners though?

Yes, it's too bad that none of the racers here in the states wanted to switch over to 6.0 liter racing from their current SS/PS/K boats. Ade spent a lot of money and time bringing 6.0 liters over here. Those ski race boats would never get around the corners like the dedicated circle race boats - just like the circle race boats would never do a good job pulling a pair of skiers at high speeds.

The GP Hydro speeds where down due to the length of the course, on a larger course they hitting around 170 - 180 mph.

Have you guys seen the other video I put up,

    http://www.screamandfly.com/showthre...cKenzie-Racing

    or

    https://vimeo.com/187462992

6 ltr is probably the most popular class over here at the moment. Some of our ski race boats are on record towing two skiers at 137mph, unfortunately their have been to many killed over the last couple of years.

I would agree with Steve, the BAD and 6ltr leave a lot of holes.... Nice to know that you think our events are up there..
