Has this engine got the fastrak trim n tilt system ?
if so there is loads of other numbers on later engines that are the same part.

have you got a picture of the part you need, if its like the 2 that I have they are very easy to get.

Many OMC pn's refer to same base trim sensor. Several available on eBay. Just be sure to get same pickup arm for your engine.

ID:	358102I modified a 583361 sensor by cutting off the tab and moving to the exact position on the 583359 original sensor, epoxy resin was used. I hope it will be strong enough.....

Stoker88 - good post! I've cut out the sensor from my part using a dremel tool and replaced from another PN, since many of the sensors are the same, but the arm/tab arrangements are different for each motor application. My mod was a time-consuming process, particularly ensuring not to damage the wires of the sensor. I think your mod would have been an easier approach.

Trim sensor work great, is there any different on a V-8 gauge vs my V-6 gauge at the dash. Position
of the sensor needle vs how it feel when trimmed?
