2002 225hp optimal wont start, need some help please
2002 225 Optimax won't start. Can't figure this out!!
I was at idle trolling it died but gave a beep when she died. Restarted
ran for about another 2 minutes and died will not restart.
Check the kill switch it's good also tried to disconnect it. Nothing
the one thing I have noticed is that when I turn on the key there is no buzzer for
about 15 seconds then it's very loud and constant for about 7 seconds also that's when
the fuel pumps kick on and run. They cycle with the buzzer.
I checked the 4 Fuses all good.
Swapped around the 3 solenoids and no change.
Fuel psi was low so I cleaned the high pressure pump bit it was spotless.
Air pressure seems good
has new 1000 ca optima battery
checked all connections. No spark and plugs are dry.
I think has to do with why buzzer doesn't come on right away.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Overheated the compressor idling around. Possibly borked a temp sensor.
Low fuel means low air side the regulator works +-10 /air I forgot if over or under. With no air I think it can build 30-40 psi. Seen many wast money on a fuel pump and never know their air side pressures.
The system back fills air with engine compression the first 60* or so of cranking that’s why many say they hear the injectors working but plugs dry. It’s the air side clicking to air up. Theirs no spark or fuel till the system reads that happened or x time cranking passes. Seen many chase spark without that info. Even waste money on plugs and coils.
Luck in your our hunt for the fix.

Fuel pressure is 10lbs higher than air. The fuel is injected into the pressurized air, the fuel pressure has to be higher!
