2.4 efi computer running very rich
found a little cap on the side drilled and inside is a dial. Anyone know what this is?? its a late 80s 2.4 efi 245hp offshore mid 4 hole cle. Buddy of mine bought the motor with not so much info on her. so far we found out it had a bad stater and trigger, changed both with cdi electronics parts and got her running on all 6 cylinders. Running way fat tho. I have a brucato on mine we want to toss on to see if that's the problem or the injectors are maybe bleeding? Want to swap the computer first before sending the injectors out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

As a general rule of thumb I send the injectors out first so I know what I have to work with, look at the reeds, pull the heads for a peek, etc.

The dial on the inside is an adjustment pot for lean/rich adjustment , lean it down and see what it does. Someone might have turned it too fat

Do you pop remove the cover to access the pod?
Is clockwise leaning it ?

You may want to check your temp senders. It might just think it's cold.

A busted Regulator diaphram will sure make it too fat, also check the fitting in the line going to the Reg!!
Might check the TPS too!!
