A true unicorn. After texting back and forth to Mr. Todd it faces extinction via NLA more than most other 2.5's......it is a shame.

Isnt the 175 still a 2.5 xs opti? It shouldn't take much to get the 175 up to the old 200 specs?

if you already have a 200 ros what do you want the 2.5 xs opti for?

The 2.5xs was the beginning of what became the Gen 2 200xs. The main difference is the splines in the bottom of the crank and the lower rpm ecu.

Correct. If you put aside the goofy 3L mid, the 2005 2.5 XS Opti made about 245hp on the dyno just like the Gen 2 200XS.

Lee Sanderson can respline a drive shaft so you can run a 2.5 gearcase they were supposed to replace the 280 after 2005 but that got shot down

You would be better off smoking Beaver pelt over the Winter.

If the 200 ros makes close to a promax I don't see how it would be that hard to get 225 out of the 175 xs? If you got into the ports? Just copy what a 200 ros has??!!??

175xs is identical in almost every way to a 200xs ros except the porting in the sleeves and the ecu. These to have the wide racing front half.
I would say call Eric Simon and inquire about an ecu flash. That should boost the power.
