Sppeedo attachment fitting

I am putting my old 1986 Black Max 150 on another boat and it has been a few years since I took it off.
I am replacing an OMC and can't find where the speedo hose hooks up .... I found pics on google, but can't find the fitting ... is it high low or in the middle?

Don't think there was speedo pick up in the gear case in 86.

I have looked and looked and can't find my title ..... I found the serial number on the motor and when I look at boats.net for parts the serial won't come up.

Where do I find the model number, or does it even have one?

There is a small hole in the foot for the speedo

If you have the pitot hole in the front of the lower unit, there should be a little barbed hose fitting straight above it on top of the lower unit with about 6" of black rubber hose on it... then a plastic splice fitting and I think the hose just continues straight up in the gap between the motor mounts.

I can take a picture of the fitting on an old case tomorrow when I get to the shop. This one I swiped of google but it looks about the same:

The hose for the speedo should come up beside the shift shaft . If it's not there will need to pull the lower to find it.

Thanks guys, I bought a water pump impeller and will pull the lower tomorrow.
My boat guy said he couldn't find the year by the serial number either, but thinks it is around 86 anyway and they are all pretty much the same in the 80's.

Just like you guys said, there is a hose barb INSIDE the lower and the hose runs up through the shift shaft hole!
