    Foot throttle options???

For a single outboard, other than the Hot Foot, what are my foot throttle options? 2015 Mercury Pro XS 175.

I am wondering the same thing as I have a MX16 Checkmate with a 2.0 135 Black Max I am in the process of getting dialed in with engine height and props. Once I get over 60 it gets to be a handful without a foot throttle and trim on the steering wheel. I hope someone chimes in with suggestions as well. Otherwise I am going to buy a hot foot soon whether I keep it long term or not just for the safety factor as my speeds are picking up.

Hot Foot and In-Control (CP Performance) are really your only main stream options. Understand that if you go either route you transfer throttle from the hand lever or the foot throttle, you lose the hand throttle option. The Hot Foot has the option of engineering a hybrid system due to its push-pull setup, the In-Control does not have this option.

I have engineered a dual throttle system for a Hot Foot Pro but I won't be rigging it until at least November. When I rig it and work all the bugs out I'll post up the results and a "how-to".

PM Liberator*21 on here, Gary makes a nice one. Might be some time before you can get one as he has just had or going to have surgery.

From what I've seen his is really good and if he was active I'd be all working with him on a dual throttle add-on since I want to retain a hand throttle. In-Control had the option but CP decided to not make that accessory.

Wintech makes one. The Nydahl Foot Throttle. Same people that make the shifters.

Pretty much looks just like the Hot Foot but that is another option. Hope that helps.
