there is water coming out the tell tale for sure.
and ive used power tune with very good results.
I thought imust of had mug written on my head when I got home with and read the instructions.
anyway went ahead and done what it says, except I left it in a good deal longer.
Now I thought my engine was running sweet to be honest, but after the power tune it was miles better, idled better and even
the sound of the engine was crisper.
you have just reminded me to get another tin of it ha ha .

Taking into what's already been said, The directions say to warm up the engine 1st and then spray into the intake freely, till it smokes like the neighborhood is on fire!! Do it over on the gravel on the side of the driveway.as it will make a big mess. .....Tho I've used it many times, it can't but help but by cleaning up the "coking" around the top and upper sides of the pistons and around the rings. Supposed to do the deed every year but I doubt if many do. And, a lot of mechanics will douse the engine the night before (and not blow it clear) they have to tear it down. Personally, I think it's much better the use a fuel system cleaner/conditioner such as Merc's #1 and #2 and fairly high quality oil while making sure the engine thermostats are bringing the block temp up to temp.

My experience made the locator pin on one of my pistons fall out on my 85 2 liter XR2. Will never use it on a 2 stroke again after that....and my dumba** is an outboard tech as well. The stuff works great on four strokes but don't use it on any older 2 stroke motors when the carbon is holding the locator pins in their proper place.

This was a $800 junk motor that only needed a powerpack and carb job to run....this was a don't give a **** motor for testing different mods. Sprayed it with Powertune after I river tested the first time. The second time I run the motor on my 15 Champion it turned 6800 all day long. Got back to the house and started flushing it out....popped the pedal one time to 3k and the pos spit a piston ring out the prop. Sorry for the sarcasm.

I knew a guy that worked in fondulac at merc asked him.about this he said yes can do it this way but its extremely hard on seals doing it overnight. Letting it sit for an.hour is the safest

As was said, you can do the same thing with seafoam and it absolutely works. Spray in the carbs and spark plug holes.

Nothing beats power tune, best stuff ever, especially for cleaning green fourstroke carbs.
