2016 OFF golf tournament at Zellwood Station!

The time has come, the walrus said-----to speak of many things----like old farts meetings -------welcomes, greetings, cabbages and kings !

Our annual golf tourney is to be held at Zellwood Station on Thursday 17th November .
Tee off at 12:00 noon.
Entry fee is $30 per person-----this will include a golf cart, ( 2persons per cart) and a sat-nav for those of unsound mind!

Would be nice if you guys who want to swing a club with some of the other old farts would be kind enough to let me know-----preferably before midday on the 17th November .

I made a few trophies for the event------longest drive, closest the pin, scruffiest individual, (Serra usually wins that one hands down ). Ladies and gents will have separate prizes .

Please, just drop me a line on this thread and I'll do my best to make the event something to remember. J.

Jackie, I thought I'd respond..cuz I know the usual cast of characters aren't even think'n about this till about the 1st or 2nd week of November. Hope I'm wrong...LOL and they fool both of us. Too bad I don't play golf, maybe I could drive a cart for someone.

You could do that Roger-------Serra usually takes on the roll of godfather referee-------lords it in a buggy, directing wild life and telling the birds when to sing!
we have four players signed in --------Seebold and the preacher------Rich and Doreen---------so if we add Bill and Betty Baker--------me and Craig--------we got ourselves a convoy ? Eight already and we're still in September-------that's a first.

Betty Baker is asking the restaurant at Zellwood if they would be prepared to put on a Barbie. They are very happy to have us all back for the tourney. I think we can cobble something out of all this

I'm going to ask the bride about duffing along with y'all on Thursday. Margo actually used to play golf, although not in 2-3 years. Me on the otherhand have only done two Cpt & Crew outtings. I'll drive the cart so she doesn't hit run into anyone. So add two more.

Not too bad then-----48 hrs door to door-------total cost under $100 for a parcel weighing close to 50 lbs.
Theres a very small enamelled box somewhere in there with an M inlaid into it------obviously for the bride !
Welcome to the tourney Roger, Margo can play along with somebody------it's a Texas scramble so the team all get to hit the ball------you can be a referee.

Well, true to traditional old fart thinking------they didn't ! They never do except when it comes to " Face feeding" -------Usain Bolt can't hold a candle to an old fart when it comes to fodder time ! Cafe is booked solid-----standing room only, wish the bugger's would get that enthusiastic about the golf tournament.
Two months today and the OFF at Tavares will be in full swing, today would be a good day to add your name to the list,.
Spoke with Bill and Betty yesterday-------he booked for 20 people and ten golf carts ,,
Coming back to me on the Barbie-------depends how many want to attend--------if I book twenty seats, then they have to be paid for, even if only ten turn up!

Didn't get the rush of entries that I never expected anyway, so I'm neither ecstatically excited or deeply dejected------Sh-t happens regardless of!
Butler made a lot of noise for a little fellow, but never actually said he was playing, just said he could whip my ass ?
Now that doesn't take a lot of effort these days, but for Mike to do that, he would need to get Tiger as a partner------if he does that, I will get Rose and Macilroy as my caddies!

I kid you not, all you old golfers, I have some trophies that will make your mouth water------special beauties for the ladies------just the odd "FABERGE" egg------that's if your interested of course.
