Maybe 4 of them or 2 big hp I/O's, would be a better choice. These outboards are very popular now, but they can only go so far on the bigger boats.

It is beginning to seem that manufacturers are capitalizing on a trend rather than what is best for their boats.
Two things are happening in this market:
    1. Guys are getting older and wiser (180 mph big power is cool but it has also proven to be deadly).
    2. Inboard boats are a pain the ass even if you have the money to maintain them it still takes time and effort.

I agree that 3 400s would be really nice on this hull.

I agree with the older part. I am going from a 135 mph single engine cat to a twin 400 fishing motor one that may never see over 120. Part of this is due to reliably as well as lower noise levels.
It just seems like the bigger tunnels will be so under powered with twin 400's that the owners will soon tire of them and go back to higher powered twin big blocks. Maybe not if the lower cost and reliability are important enough. Just seems like they will miss there faster big motored I/O when one goes by them like they are standing still.
