Taylor Mid 3 L 2nd Generation!!! For Joe Perog.

OK!!! So here it is finally. People that want the 3L Taylor Mid back in Production!!! I finally received my first Casting from the Foundry early last week for Joe Perog to Powdercoat. Joe had it drop shipped direct so he as I know never saw it. I will provide a totally honest assessment of it compared to the 1 st generation version that I have successfully powdercoated many of.

    (1) The casting quality was WAY better than original. (2) There were less grinding gouges, pot holes casting flaws etc than original. (3) there were still areas of concern that needed to be addressed. Following is a Album of start to finish. Everything was Powdercoated from start to finish. No paint etc.

Congratulations to Todd Defilipps for taking on the task of acquiring the Patterns and keeping this Mid in Production for the 3L Guys!!! You've done a GREAT Job Todd!!!

    Sand, Smooth, Fill and smooth.

After masking and filling all threaded holes. Two coats of Powder epoxy Primer were applied.

After a final inspection a final Top coat of Gloss Black was applied.

    Nice work!

What do you use for filling? Should be heat resistant right?

The Mid alone weighs 39 lbs if that helps.
