V6 looper electronics

Is it possible to put the twin power pack ignition off the early loopers on a later one that came with a single power pack? I have a electrical issue on a 1990 motor and I have a parts motor laying around with the twin pack electrics that I would like to use if possible. Thanks

Yes I believe you can, but you will,in most cases have to do some wiring of the plugs change depending on year and if they have S.L.O.W. and or quick start. The single pack is 2 packs built into 1 unit. Just make sure the wire colors of components match up.

As Greg said it will change over no problem , You need to change it all , stater , timer base and packs , and flywheel . You will need to retime the motor ............

I originally wrote that I would buy your 2 pack electrical stuff and you could put the money towards single pack parts ,then I realized it said v6 not v8.
