Here are some videos from Saturday. This was my first time at an event like this. I have a long way to go on the learning curve, so I can't tell you much about these boats and the classes they run in. I can tell you I loved every minute of it. I did learn one thing - I will NEVER wear open toed shoes (flip flops) again. People with clip boards will beat you regularly.

Darrel--glad you had fun, and it was good to finally meet you. The open-toed shoes thing is actually an insurance requirement, and it is misunderstood by many and needs clarification. Not meant to be any type of hassle, only to try to help prevent unfortunate accidents. Glad you learned a lot. Best of luck with your Vipers.

Hey John -
I understand completely and I'm not complaining. My way of making a joke. It only takes one person to ruin it for everyone.
We have similar requirements in the Norton Club (www.ncno.org) when an event is backed by the AMA. We had a rider go down and she sustained injuries that would have been greatly reduced if she had been wearing the proper gear. Her husband insisted she not wear a full face helmet that day, then turned around and tried to blame the club.
Since my parents live on Breton Bay near Leonardtown, I hope to be active in the club and learn all I can. I am anxious to get the Viper and Baja set up and the Merc Towers running.
Thanks as always for your help. Darrel

BAD ASS!!
Thanks for sharing guys.
Next time I can afford another boat I don't need, I will attend one of these eventsI'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.
