If that boat was 100 grand maybe not so bad only doing under 120mph but if i payed close to a half a million she better not be beat buy a 28ft Skater with twin 300X motors for 70 grand or an Allison XB2002 with a 300 2.5 bass boat at 125mph for 20 grand!! If she cant do 140+ mph and costs 400+ thousand dollars how many can she sleep or how many can dine on board! haha

If they weighed the same i would expect the MTI be a bit faster and closer to the DW.
Boat has seating for 6 also instead of 4.
I love Darren's DW and they are no doubt the fastest's cats out there in flat water. Time will tell. Skater has two new O/B boats under construction for 400's. A true O/B 318 and cut down 36' getting 15" ROS motors.
I think that based on the MTI's target market this boat will sell well. Those guys build and deliver boats in a timely manner. I wish Pete would do the same.
What association will this be racing in?

I'm guessing triples on the 36 Ron? That boat is way too big for twins.

Thought the ROS had to be raced in 3 races if purchased?

No question that Randy has become the king of detail and he has a customer base that can afford to buy these as a "easy to run-trouble free 2nd boat" along with appealing to standard the outboard customer. Its nice to see options if you have the money to go out and buy a new hull right now. This size boat has all of the players involved Doug, DCB, Skater, Chris's new Phoenix, Predator, MTI, and rumor is that Kosker is close at Mystic. That's a lot of choices and egos on the line...

No twins. In talking to the guys at Skater they are saying boat should come in under 5000lbs. They are really working on keeping it light. Grant is going to rig it.
FYI also in case you all haven't heard the 32' Skater on the west coast that weighs 6200lbs went 111 the other day.
It is the same owner building the 36.
