    Gauge Replacement and Purchasing

Hey everyone. So i just took off all my gauge bezels and other accessories to get powder coated. Sent them off yesterday. Before I put them back on I would like to install a few new gauges. I don't want anything super performance and pricey such as livorsi. But I also would like them to match what I have now. I am looking to replace my fuel gauge and tachometer which both have black backgrounds that are cracking. The gauge itself and glass are fine it is just the background. I also would like to replace my Speedo. It works just fine but it is a faria gauge and does not match the rest of them even in the slightest. I think most of my gauges are Sierra, adn some are quicksilver, but the style of background and gauge ring match. Where is the best place to buy gagues and best selection to explore. Tach is 8k and speedo is 100mph water psi not GPS. Any help is appreciated.

Autometer makes some decent Marine gauges, not too pricey either.

Yes, they do. Just replace them all. That way they all match.

Agreed, will look much better - and again - they are not very expensive.

I checked into the Autometer gauges. The problem I am running into is the cost of replacing all of them and the color. Autometer doesnt make black backgrounds that I can find they only make a carbon fiber which I like but it has a polished rim which I dont like. So carbon wouldnt match currently so I would have to replace all and that will be around 500 bucks.
I also dont mind the Hardin Marine gauges but I am having a hard time finding a water temp gauge for an outboard. Most seem to be for mercruiser not mercury outboards.

The most economical gauges that I have found are from Hardin Marine:

As for the water temp gauge do you run that one that reads 240 degrees on your OB and as for the tach I currently have an 8k tach would any wiring need to be changed to accommodate a 10k tach?

Teleflex makes tons of gauges with different faces. Also, on some gauges, the actually provide gauges as a matched set for the convenience of the customer. Land N Sea sells some of the gauge "sets."

I just got all new gauges for my boat. Went with VDO. Thy are priced good and top quality.
Also lots of different bezels you can use. Thy just snap on and off.
Also the wiring is all plug in with either a pig tail or you can get the plugs and crimp on pins and make your own set up.
Mounting is a snap with a spin on ring no clamps and small nuts to mess with.

I didn't end up buying them; I'm going to try to get a digital touch-screen dash working and then glass over all the gauge holes.
