    Price for 2001 Promax 300

I am thinking about buying a used boat that has twin 2001 300x motors on it, 350 hrs. I assume (but would verify with a motor survey prior to buying) that they have good compression. I think they are 20" w sporty LU. Paint looks good to me. Assuming all functioning, and good compression, if I buy the hull, I'd probably sell the engines (I have a couple of 300xs motors I've been looking for a hull for). What could I reasonably expect to get for them if I sold the 300x motors here in FL?

Thanks, that gives me an idea what the boat is worth. I knew it was overpriced even if the motors were 10k each. They do appear to be pro max 300s, so it's even that much more overpriced. I don't think I'll be able to get them down to a reasonable price, so I doubt I'll buy it

Broker says they are 2001. Here are pics of them. Certainly look like pro max to me. I see 300x no where on them. Prob a no-go anyway w the price. Numbers wont work out w price they are asking if the motors are only worth 10k together.

The bad news is those are 25 inch Motors. The good news is they have 5-inch spacer kits in them.

It's impossible to tell a Promax vs. An X from the outside as everything is the same.

A picture of the powerhead will tell for sure!

Yes. The only difference is the big red X behind the 300. People remove them and or replace with new stickers that don't have it.....
