Will 200 drive shaft fit sportmaster

Trying to find a new 15" lower unit for my Ally, just wonder if my 200 15" shaft will swap out if I can't find a 15" sporty

The older 200 shafts were single bearing and won't work in a sm with duel bearing without doing some rigging. I don't know if the newer 200 cases went to duel bearing or not.

There are a ton of one bearing sportys out there now.If your not wave jumping, there's no need for the extra bearing. You can ether use a 200 shaft,or knock the cage and rollers off the second bearing of the sporty shaft, leave the inner race, then set it up as usual.

It sure will! I suggest to machine it and install the second. There was a reason the second bearing was introduced to the shaft.

second bearing serves one purpose only and thats to keep the drive shaft from moving up and down on rough water IE wave jumping i cant tell you how many of the small bearings ive took off sportys and tossed them, the 3.0 drive shaft has been the standard replacement for those guys who like the second bearing just have it resplined its not as hard as hipo shafts but set up right it will last long time me im running one bearing on everything
