[QUOTE=HighVoltage;2877835]What is the top speed of the boat. Where are you located in Illinois.

Top speed is in the mid 80's. We are located in Hinckley, it is about 50 miles west of Chicago.

Hey there G. Bish, I'm looking at what I believe is the same boat locally in NC now. Guy says he bought it from Wisconsin. Anyway, I'm trying to learn more about the hull and engine work. His ad says the engine was recently rebuilt and the hull was recored. I'd like to know more about the engine, reliability etc. It's described as:

"Up for sale is my 1986 Hydrostream Valero YT with a 1990 Mercury 200hp racing series motor and trailer. The boat was recently re-cored and the motor rebuilt with upgrades. Custom interior nice paint and wicked fast. Even with the 4 blade stainless prop it will do mid 70's. Change the prop and go mid to upper 90's....maybe more. The boat is a lot of fun but its too fast for me....I never thought I would say that. The motor has 30cc heads, ported and lapped reed cages (5 pedal), Chris Carlson fiber reeds, D ported pistons with large boost ports, solid motor mounts, Titus nose cone gear case, correct WH carbs, electric fuel pump with automotive fuel regulator, hydro lift and tilt, hot foot. AM/FM/CD Mp3 Sirius stereo"

Any additional info is appreciated. Thanks.Click image for larger version.
