1993.5 or 1994 Mercury Racing 260 matched set of STRONG Drop on Powerheads

1993.5 or 1994 by date code on powerheads Mercury Racing matched set of Drop on Powerheads with 49.6 hours since full rebuilds. Every moving part has been replaced with genuine Mercury Racing brand new parts. NOT OEM parts, the real thing straight from Mercury Racing. All bearings, seals wrist pins, pistons, rods, everything new replaced. NiC is good. Mercury Racing NEW Reeds also installed. Injectors cleaned and flowed.

The blocks have never been hurt or welded on they are 100% unmolested and only worked on by TZMarine, ChrisM and JamesGang since brand new when ChrisM bought them direct from Mercury Racing through TZ (Jim Gogats).

These engines have Bosch relays on them (as you can see in the pics) instead of warning horns that will cut ignition instead of sounding the horn you cannot hear in the boat. These are currently on my Twin Shadow and I am going to ProMax powerhead built by Tony TL TUX so my wife and son can drive the boat. JamesGang also set this up on his Velocity that FatherB still owns and he can testify to the details of this listing as can JamesGang, ChrisM and the guys they run boats with. These are the real deal and have been fed via a surge tank setup that Mercury Racing got from Jimmy K and Chris back in the day. You can read about it on the Diamond Marine 101 page. These guy were way ahead of their time and these engines have been extremely well cared for and never starved for fuel. I have not touched them other than to install a new set of plugs since I got them, they came this clean from ChrisM when I bought the boat.

These were sold to me as 93.5's(??) but here is the serial number info from where the block and heads go together right under the flywheel on the throttle linkage side. Pics are in the ad listing showing the numbers. They look to be 1994 models by the date stamped on them. These engines are VERY clean, never stored outside even under cover, always been inside since brand new. Have been in my climate controlled no more than 3 degree variance no more than 35% humidity since October 2015.

The bottom line of the ad says "For sale with boat only now." I don't know if they are for sale still or not just thought I would let you guys know. I'm sure OP will chime in..
